Call for Poster Abstracts

The Conference will be held in two parts:

Water New Zealand Conference and Expo – Part 1 –  from Feb 22 Online programme

Water New Zealand Conference and Expo – Part 2 – May 25 – 26 Claudelands, Hamilton

After a successful call for technical paper abstracts, we are now looking for a call for poster abstracts to supplement the technical programme and provide further insight into the industry and its people.

As per previous years, posters will be printed by the organisers and prominently displayed at the conference. Poster presenters will also have the opportunity to address delegates and judges during the lunch break on Thursday, 26 May.

Poster updates for 2021

This year, delegates will also get to vote for their favourite poster using the delegate attendee app. This overall vote will aid in the final selection of the poster award winner, along with reviews from the judges.

Poster Guidelines and Instructions

Poster summaries submitted must be a maximum of 200 words, excluding title and authors and must include:

All poster summaries are subject to approval by Water New Zealand’s Technical Committee.

Entry Criteria

Entries are welcome on any topic of relevance to the water industry, with entries from students particularly encouraged.

The deadline for poster abstracts is Wednesday, 28 July and entries must be submitted through the portal.

Judges and Judging Criteria

Posters are assessed by the technical committee on the following criteria;

As mentioned above, this year delegates will also vote for their favourite poster within the Conference Delegate App.

Best Poster Award

The award for best poster will be presented at The Downer Gala Dinner and Awards on Thursday, 24 February.
